Nody is a canvas-based AI research workspace that lets you branch conversations freely and compare multiple AI models.
Key Features
Branch Freely - Double-click any node to start a new line of inquiry
Multi-Model Compare - Ask the same question to GPT-4, Claude, and Gemini
Context Groups - Select nodes from different branches to combine context

Quick Start
Get started with Nody in just a few minutes.
Step 1: Create an Account
Go to the homepage
Click Get Started
Sign in with your Google account
Step 2: Create Your First Canvas
A canvas is your workspace for exploring ideas.
Click Create New Canvas on the Canvas page
Give it a name like "My First Exploration"
Click Create
Step 3: Start a Conversation
Double-click anywhere on the canvas
Type your question in the dialog
Select an AI model (e.g., GPT-4o)
Click Send
Step 4: Branch Your Thoughts
Hover over the AI response node
Double-click to create a branch
Ask a follow-up question
Repeat to explore different paths!
Nodes
A node is a single message in your exploration.
Types of Nodes
User nodes - Your questions (shown in orange)
AI nodes - AI responses (color varies by provider)
Working with Nodes
Double-click to branch from a node
Right-click for context menu options
Drag to reposition nodes on canvas
Branching
Unlike traditional chat, Nody lets you branch at any point.
How It Works
Select any existing node
Double-click to open chat dialog
Your new conversation continues from that point
The original path is preserved
Benefits
Explore multiple directions simultaneously
Never lose context from previous explorations
Compare different approaches side by side
AI Models
Nody supports multiple AI models.
Available Models
Point Cost
Fast models usually consume fewer points.
Balanced models are the default for everyday work.
Premium models and long context consume more points.
Each generated AI card can show its final point charge.
Sharing Canvases
Share your explorations with others.
Public Canvases
Make your canvas public to appear in the Showcase:
Open canvas settings
Toggle "Public" visibility
Your canvas appears in /showcase
Share Links
Generate a direct link to your canvas for easy sharing.
Note: Private team workflows are still being rolled out. Public sharing is available today.
How to Use Points
Nody uses prepaid points. Recharge when you need capacity, then spend points as AI cards are generated.
By Usage Volume
By Specific Needs
### 1. "I need to keep my entire project in one view"
Choose: Plus or Builder
Why: Larger maps usually mean more AI generations and more context. Points let you keep going without waiting for a monthly reset.
### 2. "I want the simplest setup"
Choose: Any recharge pack
Why: Every model is built in and draws from the same shared credit pool.
### 3. "I need the strongest models"
Choose: Builder
Why:
Premium models consume more points.
Long context and reasoning-heavy generations can cost more.
Each AI card shows its final point charge.
Point Billing
Your balance determines how much built-in AI generation you can run.
Recharge Packs
Starter: $5 for 400 points
Plus: $20 for 2,000 points
Builder: $50 for 6,000 points
Packs are one-time purchases, not a subscription.
How Charges Work
Each AI card consumes points.
Premium models, longer context, and reasoning-heavy requests cost more.
Cached context can reduce cost when available.
Current packs give about 80-120 points per dollar depending on package size.
Example: with a model priced at $3 input / $15 output per 1M tokens, a longer chain card that includes about 5 previous cards as context may use roughly 8-15 points depending on response length.
Paid points do not reset monthly. Promotional points may have separate rules.
Canvas Limits
Each canvas may still have practical node limits to keep the workspace fast and readable.
How It Works
Limit is based on current nodes, not total ever created
Deleting nodes frees up space
Moving nodes to another canvas also frees space
Hitting the Limit
When you reach the limit:
Recharge points if generation is blocked by balance
Delete unused nodes
Move nodes to another canvas
Moving Nodes
Right-click a node → Move to Canvas to transfer nodes between your canvases. The target canvas must have space for all nodes being moved.
